This class for parents of tweens (grades 5th-8th) will provide a weekly forum for relevant child development information, parenting resources, peer support, and family fun ideas. Parents will learn through large and small group discussions regarding pre-adolescent issues such as: peer relationships, new patterns of family communication, physical and intellectual changes, dealing with the tween "attitude", and media guidelines. Parents will learn how to adjust family traditions, and add more fun holiday ideas, to maintain connection with their tween.
